Any reccomendations for a reliable basic thermostat?
I recently adopted two leopard Geckos from a friend that was moving to a no pets apartment so they came with all their supplies ( yay) including CHE's
But it's starting to get warm out and so warming in my apartment and I want to tone down the CHEs
Besides one elderly beardie I have not really been seriously into the hobby for a few years and don't know what's best anymore!
They are believed to both be female but fight so they are in separate 20 longs
one has a 100 watt CHE the other has two 65s

maybe i'm just better off getting a smaller CHE for the summer?

If you want best, get a herpstat. This is of course my opinion, but I believe they are the best one on the market, with the best overall safety features. They are not cheap at all, but you could get a herpstat 2 and control both cages independantly. If you need to go cheap for some reason, you could always get a couple hydrofarms off amazon, or maybe even one and try and run both cages off one. That requires identical setups for both cages and careful monitoring of the temps to make sure both cages run in the right range.
