I have acquired a Texas spiney lizard & am in the process of setting up the tank. Can I put any type of live tree cutting in the aquarium? I live in southeast Texas near Galveston.

Pretty much. Opinions seem pretty split on any conifers like pine or cedar so I choose to avoid those. Speaking broadly you can use a lot of different kinds of branches. Oak and maple are great choices but I'm not sure what you have access to.

When you say "cutting" are you talking about trying to grow a tree in the enclosure?
