    I'm from SC, I could have identified the snake had I been a bit closer. I had my girls with me, so I kept my distance. I'm teaching them to never approach a wild snake.
    We actually saw a few more but they were too far to get a pic with my phone

    Snakes are fun. We have a black water snake here in mass that gets very aggressive. I've had them go into strike pose just passing by them on a path. Good to keep kids aware. I usually learned the hard way which ones were bitey
