I'm waiting on something that was mailed from down there on Apr 20th by mail.
So it must be a little slow right now.
No worries, reptile show isn't until end of month :)

Hi, I really need help! There's a million gnats in my house and there everywhere in the two lizard cages that i have! My lizards are really struggling to get out of their cages due to the gnats have literally taken over! I don't know how to get rid of them!

      Hi Rich,

I've got 2 juvi bearded dragons that are sharing a 25 gallon tank at the moment . I'm building them 2 4x2x2 cages using an Edsal shelving system so they're neatly stacked and I can use lighter material (1/4 MDF).

I read what you wrote about the Mega Heat Emitters and was quite impressed. I was going to use non proportional thermostats in the proj, that’s all I can afford at this point, but was worried that the on-off action of the thermostats on the basking lights might drive the Beardies nuts!

Since the HE is a focused beam it'll behave very much like a basking light, cept of course it'll be INVISIBLE. I'll be using 36" inch reptisun 10s in each enclosure for UVB so I'm thinking there should be ample light. Most incandescent lights (I cant afford MVBs) don't have the right color temp anyways.

What are your thoughts on this, do you know of anyone who's used HEs instead of Basking lights in a melamine type BD enclosure successfully?

      Thanks

      Al

Hi Rich I am new to this site so you are my first conversation. I have two bearded dragons male and female which are housed separately. They are cool creatures. Looking to get another one but want a baby. Male is about 5-6 years old female is 2 1/2 years.

Hi Rich,  Wart is my pet Leo.  I built (and maintain) three web sites of my
own that are on the web now.  I use a web hosting company, BIZLAND, that is
kinda like a drag and drop, but not that easy.  I set up all the add-to-cart
buttons using paypal.  If you would like to see the sites I can send you the
links.  I just submitted an app to volunteer to help but do I have to be a
member to do it?  I have to tell you, that I was the lucky one to find your
site on the net before I went and spent a ton of time looking for the right
answers for help on other ones.

Someone posted a link to a site that showed how a gecko looks when autopsied
for sand impaction in one of the threads I recently read.  Where can I find
that thread so I can copy and use the link to show users about the sand.
Wart was never on sand that I know of, thank God.

Also, I would like to change my user name.  How do I do that?

Thank you for the birthday wish! It's been a long time, but I still think of you guys often. I still miss my snakes too. Guess I always will, but at least I can still pop into Herp Center once in a while. :-)
